A family legacy that began in 1963, bringing authentic Tuscan flavors to Delaware
From Tuscany to Delaware
Diyoria Ristoranté first opened its doors in 1963, founded by Antonio and Rosa Diyoria, who immigrated from Tuscany to Middletown, Delaware in the late 1950s. With them came family recipes, a love of hospitality, and the belief that food should bring people together.
Their modest trattoria had just a handful of tables, a brick oven, and Rosa's handmade pastas. Antonio grew tomatoes, basil, and zucchini in the garden out back, ingredients that became staples of daily specials.
